Woman makes successful claim after 20 years of divorce
Kathleen Wyatt, 55, previously wanted a £1.9 million payout from Dale Vince, 53, however, the The Supreme Court awarded Ms Wyatt £300,000 and her legal costs were covered.
When the couple divorced they both lead completely different lives and Ms Wyatt went on to have four children by three different fathers.
Mr Vince went on to have a successful business in green energy with his firm now worth £57m.
Ms Wyatt lodged a claim for 'financial remedy' in 2011.
If this is allowed to happen then there will be a lot of worried people out there waiting for their ex partners to make a claim.
It might well be though that their divorce wasn't settled the normal way as in financial closure.
The article has not said that so from this article in the Daily Mail you would come to the opinion that its an outrageous precedent that has been set.
Has anyone got any more information on this case?

This doesn't sound right.
A clean break is a clean break when you get a divorce.
Maybe there was something not quite right about their separation.

Its ok reporting a story like this but we don't know the details of the original divorce.
I wouldn't worry too much about this because most divorces are clean breaks which mean ex partners cannot come back and claim at a later date.

If there was something missing from the original divorce then the papers should have reported it.
