The Fifth Housemate in the BBC's Young Ones

The Fifth Housemate in the BBC's Young Ones

This week it has been noted that an old television programme made by the BBC called The Young Ones had a secret character.
This is a hidden 5th housemate who can be seen slouched against a wall in the background throughout the first series.

The Young Ones were made in the early 1980's and most people will remember four characters and will have focused on them totally ignoring the long haired sloth in the background who was uncredited.

He looks like Cousin It from The Addams Family.

I wonder if he is there permanently or just an odd appearance.
