Zafira Cars Can Burst Into Flames
Vauxhall have said it will look urgently at the reposts that 130 of their Zafira cars have spontaneously burst into flames. Some have had mothers and children inside at the time. They will be contacting Zafira owners if they think its necessary.
The problem seems to come from behind the glove box so if you are experiencing any problem in that area get Vauxhall to look at it for free.
These big companies have a responsibility to look after their customers but don't gamble on them contacting you. If you have one of these cars get in touch with them and keep talking to them until you are satisfied.

Re: Zafira Cars Can Burst Into Flames
I wouldn't wait for this company to contact me I would demand that they inspect my Vauxhall Zafira immediately and give me a written report.
Re: Zafira Cars Can Burst Into Flames
Vauxhall, like all car manufacturers, should quickly sort all the faults out for all the cars they make instead of dragging their heels.
Re: Zafira Cars Can Burst Into Flames
Yeah, oh yeah, Vauxhall will look at the matter urgently
There's a possibility of another fire in the meantime though!
They have a responsibility to do something better than look at things "urgently" because that is just talk.

Re: Zafira Cars Can Burst Into Flames
Some people are saying that the Vauxhall Zafira is a nice car.
Maybe it is I don't know but I prefer a small car for economy myself.
I just got rid of one car that I didn't have to pay tax on and now I have one with a tax of £20.00 per year.
I am getting around the same 50mpg from it as well so that's a bonus.
Vauxhall should act quick but according to them they don't have enough parts to fix the problem as quick as it should be.
Here's a story I found where the occupants were trapped in a Zafira filling up with smoke.

The Vauxhall Zafira ...... is a "car"
Keep the bastards honest.
Re: Zafira Cars Can Burst Into Flames
The Vauxhall Zafira is a good solid workhorse.
I like them but I have a car for economy nowadays.
I need at least 50mpg from a car.
I am sure they will be on the case but don't expect things to move quick.

I am free and they will not tell me otherwise

Last thing I read about the Vauxhall Zafira was that they didn't have enough parts to fix every car.
Here's hoping they sort the problem.
