The National Lottery - Lotto

Post by Top Cat »

The National Lottery - Lotto

The last National Lottery in the UK was won by two people who both won £33m each :o
They upped the numbers from 49 to 59 and once they done that nobody won it.
However, the conditions given to the new Canadian firm that now runs it say they had to share the money out once the jackpot reached £50m.
This made more people buy a ticket and that resulted in two winning tickets.

Apparently the odds were like filling the bath up with rice but painting one gold and trying to find it while being blindfolded.

I must admit to buying a ticket, I know, I know :P
"It could be you" ... well it wasn't me

Anyway, would you enter the lottery?
Is it a hit or miss?

I used to do the National Lottery when it was only a pound a shot and there was only 49 numbers in the draw.
I stopped doing it suddenly when my income dropped.
If I am not mistaken it went up to £1.50 a shot and then £2.00.
Good luck to anyone who enters the lottery but for me I don't think I will be doing it, at least not regularly.
If I entered and won at the weekend I wouldn't know what to do with £33m.
I have managed to get by on very little over the past few years and I am happier for it.
Keep the bastards honest.

I gave up doing the National Lottery as soon as the tickets went up from £1.00.
There is no way I will ever spend double the money for no chance of winning.
It used to be about 14 million to one - now it is 45 million to one.
Ridiculous!

You are very unlikely to win the jackpot on the National Lottery.
If you win you would live in a different world and your life would change beyond all imagination.
That may be worth it for some but its only money.
Your life as it is or a different life?
I know what I would choose!
Now that the odds of winning have increased dramatically what are the chances of winning.
No, I don't enter the lottery.
I have done but it was only on the odd occasion.
Why, I really don't know what got in to me.
The lotto is a mugs game as far as I am concerned.

I am an ex National Lottery player as well
I also stopped when the price of a lotto ticket went up from a pound.
I wouldn't pay two quid for a ticket now.

I do the National Lottery on the odd occasion still.
If I have a spare £2.00 I might buy a ticket but only when the jackpot is massive.
I don't gamble ordinarily but at least some of the money I spend goes back into the community.
I never buy those Lotto Scratch Cards, I only enter for the big winnings.

With virtually no chance of winning the National Lottery, who would even think about throwing money at that?
All forms of gambling is a mugs game because you can't beat the bookie.
The Lotto is not for me and never was.

You could end up in prison if you make a fraudulent lottery claim.
